About the ICSI

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is a premier professional body, established under an act of Parliament (The Company Secretaries Act, 1980), to regulate and develop the profession of Company Secretaries. The ICSI functions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India and focuses on providing top-quality education for its students along with setting best quality standards for its members.
Headquartered in New Delhi, the ICSI has a nationwide presence, with four Regional Offices in New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai, 73 Chapter Offices spread across the length and breadth of the country and 4 Centre for Corporate Governance, Research and Training (CCGRT) in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Manesar. The ICSI has set up 6 overseas centres as well in Australia, Canada, Singapore, UAE, UK and the USA and has established itself as a pioneer in promoting corporate governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) in the last five decades of its existence.
With the Vision “To be a global leader in promoting Good Corporate Governance”, and the Mission “To develop the high calibre professionals facilitating good Corporate Governance”, the ICSI has been driving growth for the Company Secretary profession worldwide. It boasts of over 79,000 members and 250,000 students, making it the largest base of Company Secretaries and an inclusive body on the global governance map.
