PCS DAY CELEBRATIONS
ICSI-Mysore Chapter celebrated the PCS Day on 15th June, 2018, 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm at the Chapter premises. Members and students participated in the celebrations.
The Chairman of the Chapter CS. Manjunath S., welcomed the members and highlighted the importance of CS in the present corporate environment and the role of PCS. During the event, an open discussion held on Latest Companies Act Amendments & Representation before NCLT by PCS. Members and students participated in the discussion actively. The Secretary of the Chapter CS. Veerash M.J., delivered the vote of thanks. The celebrations were concluded with high tea.

TWO DAYS SEMINAR ON "LEARNING AVENUES IN COMPANIES ACT & GST"
ICSI-Mysore Chapter organised a two days seminar on Learning Avenues in Companies Act & GST” at Hotel Rio Meridian on 23rd & 24th March, 2018. The program was attended by around 65 delegates from many cities of Southern India.
The event was inaugurated on 23rd March, 2018 by Mr. Arjun Ranga, Chairman, CII-Mysore. He emphasized the need for such a program in this time of ever changing regulatory framework. He also called upon the Company Secretaries to concentrate on adding value to the organizations they serve, either as employee or consultant. Mr. Satish A.S., President, MCCI was the guest of honor for the program. CS. Manjunath S., Chairman of the ICSI-Mysore Chapter welcomed the gathering and CS. Veerash M.J., Secretary of the ICSI-Mysore Chapter proposed the vote of thanks.
The two day seminar had the following sessions on the day one. Latest Amendments in Companies Act 2013 by CS Karthick V., PCS, Bengaluru, Strike off Provisions & COD Scheme for Disqualified Directors by CS Pramod S.M., PCS, Bengaluru & discussion session on RUN & DIN Services moderated by CS Manjunath S., Chairman, Mysore Chapter.
Day 2 Representation before NCLT & NCLAT by CS. Dushyantha Kumar K., PCS, Bengaluru, GST-Business Issues by CA. Vageesh Hegde, Practicing Chartered Accountant, Mysore & Secretarial Standards 1 & 2 by CS. Pracheta M., PCS, Mysore. The two days seminar ended with vote of thanks by the Mysore Chapter Chairman CS Manjunath S.

POST BUDGET ANALYSIS
ICSI Mysore Chapter in association with CII Mysore & SDM Institute for Management Development organized a session on Post Budget Analysis on 02nd February, 2018 at SDM Institute premises with BDO India as knowledge partner. The representatives of the knowledge partner discussed on the various implications of the announcements of the budget in respect of taxation. The session concluded with a panel discussion in the form of question and answer session.
