ATTENTION ICSI MEMBERS OF ICSA , UK

FEE TO BE CHARGED FROM ICSI STUDENTS PURSUING ICSA CS COURSE AND ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION FEES CHARGED FROM ICSI MEMBERS OF ICSA

The ICSI-ICSA Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two organizations on 13th of November, 1998 and became effective from June 2000 with a view to promote best practice in “Company Secretaryship” and Professional Administration .

The ICSI members of ICSA, UK and ICSI members who are pursuing CS Course of ICSA, U K expressed their concern to the ICSI  time to time  for enhancement fees charged from them by ICSA.

The ICSI took up the matter with ICSA officials to reconsider the issue under reference. The matter was reconsidered by ICSA , UK and you will be pleased to note that ICSA, UK has acceded to our request partially.  The reply received from them is reproduced below:

“We have reconsidered the fees of our Members and non MOU students who reside in India . Students who reside in India and register with us, not through the MOU route, will be asked to pay the reduced rate fee of £300 per module (as they are required to sit more modules than MOU students);

 Members who reside in India will continue to be charged the reduced rate annual subscription fee, which is currently £140 (full rate fee is £245) for an Associate.

However, after further consideration it has been agreed that we will retain the MOU module fees at the current price of £400 per module, £150 per re-sit and £75 per postponement.

Members of the ICSI are only required to sit and pass three IQS modules and they are then automatically awarded Associate status. This route is not only a faster route into Membership of the ICSA but also allows a considerable saving to MOU students;  they are saving by sitting less modules, not being charged an upgrade election fee to Associateship and if they reside in India, their study textbooks are couriered to them.. MOU students are also allowed to sit their exam inations anywhere in the world at no extra charge; all other students residing in a “reduced rate country” are required to pay £600 per module if they wish to sit in a “full rate country”.”
