2 DAYS INDUCTION PROGRAM FOR EXECUTIVE PASSED STUDENTS

15 DAYS ACADEMIC PROGRAM 

15 days Academic Program is applicable to every student who is successfully completing Executive Program (whether already undergoing training or not) of ICSI, on or after 25th August, 2015.    The break- up of 15 days academic program is as under: 

i)         2 days = Induction

ii)        3 days = e-Governance

iii)       5 days = Skill Development

iv)       5 days = Entrepreneurship Development 

As per the Institute’s guidelines, 2 days Induction is to be completed within 3 months of passing Executive programme or within 2 months of commencement of their 15 months/1 year/2 years training, whichever is earlier. If, any student is already undergoing training on the date of passing the Executive program, in such case 2 months criteria is not applicable to him/her. 

Due to insufficient number (minimum 10) of students enrolled, Two-Day Induction Program which was scheduled on 16th & 17th July, 2016, has been rescheduled on 17th & 18th September, 2016, subject to the condition that at least 10 students have enrolled, as per the criteria laid down by the HQ of the Institute. Revised Schedule of the Two-Day Induction Program is given below:

                                    The fee is payable by way of cash or demand draft drawn in favour of ‘The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Hooghly Chapter’ payable at Kolkata. Participation Fee once paid will neither be reimbursed/refunded or adjusted towards the next Induction Program.

                STUDENTS’ MONTH CELEBRATIONS –JULY 2016 

ICSI is celebrating the Month - July, 2016 as the “Students’ Month” in all parts of the country. To make the Students’ Month Eventful, Hooghly Chapter of ICSI is organising a Campus Placement for Members seeking employment and Students seeking Management Training on Sunday, the 31st July, 2016  at Hooghly Chapter Premises, 89/114/2, D. N. Banerjee Street, Rishra, Hooghly 712 248 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, as per schedule given below: 

CAMPUS PLACEMENT FOR MEMBERS SEEKING EMPLOYMENT AND STUDENTS SEEKING MANAGEMENT TRAINING 

Day & Date:              Sunday, the 31st July, 2016

Time:                         From 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM

ELIGIBILITY: 

MEMBERS : Preferably new Members of ICSI who have been admitted as a Member of ICSI on or after 1st April, 2015 are expected to participate in this Campus Placement. However, other members may also apply, if interested. 

STUDENTS : Students seeking 15 months Management Training, subject to fulfilling the following criteria: 

ü   Cleared both Groups of Executive Programme of ICSI and 

ü   Completed 8-Days Executive Development Programme (EDP) 

APPEAL TO ALL THE MEMBERS / PROFESSIONALS: 

Members who are in employment and require Company Secretaries for appointment in their respective Companies / Groups, may please come forward as Recruiters and take benefit of this unique initiative.  

Practising Company Secretaries, who require Partners / Employees for their Firms or require Whole-time Company Secretaries for their Corporate Clients, may also participate in the programme as Recruiters and take benefit of this unique initiative. 

Other Bodies / Individuals who wish to recruit Company Secretaries from this Campus Placement are also welcome to participate as Recruiters. 

Members are requested to disseminate this information for the benefits of all concerned.

Please send the Registration Form by mail / post  within 28th July, 2016 for making necessary arrangements. 

There is NO participation fee for the Recruiters and the Candidates. 

Interested members / students may submit 3 original sets of  CV (along with recent passport size photograph) at Hooghly Chapter of ICSI, 89/114/2, D.N. Banerjee Street, Bangur Park, Rishra, Hooghly 712 248  on or before 28th July, 2016  for registration. The envelope be marked as: 

a)     In case of Members : “CAMPUS – MEMBERS”

There will NOT be any spot registration on the day of the Campus Placement, under any circumstances.

HALF-YEARLY ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP SCHEME (AMS) OF HOOGHLY CHAPTER OF ICSI FOR 2016

Hooghly Chapter of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India has brought to you the Half-Yearly Annual Membership Scheme (AMS) for 2016 (from 1st July, 2016 to 31st January, 2017). Hooghly Chapter plans to organize High Value Programmes on current / important topics. The commitment for minimum number of programmes is mentioned herein below, however, it is expected to organize even greater number of programmes, which the members / professionals / students of ICSI of this scheme will be entitled to attend.

The Half-Yearly AMS Scheme will be effective from 1st July, 2016 to 31st January, 2017.

Four (4) Half-Day Workshops

Six (6) Study Circle Meetings  

Annual Members’ Conference  

PCH for Members:

One (1) Program Credit Hour (PCH) for Study Circle Meeting

Four (4) Program Credit Hours (PCH) for Full-Day Seminar/Conference

PDP for students:

Four (4) PDP Hours for Half-Day Workshop

Eight (8) PDP Hours for Full-Day Seminar / Conference

Half-Yearly AMS Fee (inclusive of Service Tax @ 15%):

Rs.2,100/- each for Members / Practising Members / Self-employed / Individuals 

Rs.1,500/- each for Students of ICSI

Mode of Payment:

Payment may be made in cash or by cheque/ DD drawn in favour of “The Institute of Company Secretaries of India – Hooghly Chapter”

REPORTS OF THE PROGRAMMES ORGANISED BY THE HOOGHLY CHAPTER DURING THE MONTHS OF APRIL & MAY, 2016

1ST & 2ND STUDY CIRCLE MEETING OF 2016 HELD ON 10TH APRIL, 2016:

On 10th April, 2016 Chapter organised its 1st & 2nd Study Circle Meetings of 2016 at the Conference Hall of Hooghly Chapter, Rishra (Hooghly). At 1st Study Circle Meeting, the Discussion Leader was CS Prateek Kohli, Practising, Practising Company Secretary, discussed on the “Practical Aspects with reference to New MCA Portal" whereas at the 2nd Study Circle Meeting he spoke on the topic “MCA Filings and Discussion on Condonation and Compounding". There was question-answer sessions and the queries raised by the participants were suitably replied by the Speaker. More than 14 members / students and office bearers / members of the Managing Committee attended the same.

FULL-DAY WORKSHOP HELD ON 8th MAY, 2016:

On 8th May, 2016 Chapter organised a Full-Day Workshop at the Conference Hall of Hooghly Chapter, Rishra (Hooghly). CA CS Sumit Binani (Treasurer, EIRC of ICAI), Corporate Law Consultant, was the Guest Speaker and took the whole Session throughout the day. He addressed the participants on the topic “Changes in The Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2016 with Special Focus on Issue of Securities, Related Party Transaction, Sec.185 & 186, Deposits and Other Amendments Thereon”.  The Session was very informative and well appreciated by the participants. There was question-answer sessions and the queries raised by the participants were suitably replied by the Guest Speaker. More than 38 members / students and office bearers / members of the Managing Committee attended the Workshop.

FULL-DAY WORKSHOP HELD ON 15TH MAY, 2016:

On 8th May, 2016 Chapter organised a Full-Day Workshop at the Conference Hall of Hooghly Chapter, Rishra, At the First Session, Shri Rajiv Ranjan, Ex-President & Chief Executive Officer of Reliance Asset Reconstruction Co. Ltd., was the Guest Speaker. He addressed the participants on the topic “Role of Company Secretaries in Emerging Securitization and Asset Reconstruction”. At the Second Session, CS Mohan Ram Goenka, Practising Company Secretary, was the Guest Speaker. He addressed the participants on the topic “Mergers & Amalgamation”. Both the Speakers were elaborately discussed on their respective topics before the participants. Both the Sessions were very informative and well appreciated by the participants. There was question-answer sessions and the queries raised by the participants were suitably replied by both the Guest Speakers. More than 14 members / students and office bearers / members of the Managing Committee attended the Workshop.
